RF Delusions
RF won't hurt me.
- There is no substitute for personal RF monitors when working in high RF environments.
- Be alert to body sensations such as dry eyes, headache, or nausea. Don't assume its the sun!
- Make sure the person on the ground controlling the transmitter understands they cannot increase power without being absolutely certain no one is still on the tower or in a location where they could be injured.
- Use lock-out/tag-out procedures where transmitters must be turned off.
- Don't miss the Towers & RF Safety session Tuesday morning. Be safe!
