• Why bother with antenna elevation patterns

• • The FCC has only one pattern for UHF DTV and other for UHF analog full power TV, why should I use more accurate patterns?
  • Elevation pattern has a significant impact on signal level if the antenna is mounted high above the community served – a properly designed antenna will deliver signal levels well above those predicted using FCC OET-69 elevation patterns.
  • If stations use antennas that don't match OET-69 patterns, FCC interference calculations may not be accurate!
